Computers

This page is for other geeks and is not intended to be entertaining nor interesting to those of you who consider yourselves normal.

I have owned many desktop computers since I built my first one in early 2000 but I seem to tinker so heavily with them that they break rather quickly on me.  I have been fortunate enough to own many laptops since 1998 when I bought a Pentium 2 233mhz Umax model notebook.   If you want to read a list detailing my complete computer history you can scroll to the bottom of this article.

In 2005 my Apple Powerbook (October 2005 model) was stolen from my house by a roommates friend in February 2007, even though we knew who had it the police were not able to recover it.  With support from my family I purchased a new Macbook Pro 2.33Ghz in February 2007 that was also stolen from me in October 2007 when I was a victim of a home invasion burglary where they took my Xbox 360 and Audio/Video receiver as well.  I moved after the second theft to a place 30 miles outside of the city because even with gas its cheaper than being robbed so often.

This is a list of my current computers as of 8/12/08.
